Summer Student Opportunity
Junior Child Care Worker (2)
Pic River invites students from 15 to 30 years of age, coming from
school and returning in the fall, to apply.
Work under the Supervision of the Program Teachers, the Junior Child
Care worker will provide support services to the Pic River Family and
Children Learning Centre to ensure efficient daily activities in
accordance with the policies and guidelines set out.
REQUIREMENTS
 Supervise children in the play area
 Assist the Program Teachers with the daily routines of the children
May include:
Diaper changing
Assisting children during washroom breaks
Lunch and Snack Times
 Assist Staff with day to day maintenance of the Centre
May include:
Painting
Cleaning of the toys
Playground and yard maintenance
 First Aid and CPR would be an asset
 If applying for this position, a criminal reference check must be provided
prior to employment. The cost of the criminal reference check is the
responsibility of the applicant. If the applicant is subsequently hired, the
cost of the criminal reference check will be reimbursed by Pic River.

cards and attendance, student information form, consent to the release
of information form, and verification of returning to school (applies to
graduating and post-secondary students only.
Rate of Pay is $8.75/hr
