Working since 1998 as a Consultant Anaesthesiologist. This is a tertiary referral centre in
Mumbai having referral from whole India and asian countries. Patients from abroad like USA
and European countries also come for treatment as part of medical tourism to this hospital--recognised by Govt. of India for this purpose. We regularly perform major surgeries in different
superspecialities like organ transplantation, joint replacements, cardiothoracic, hepatobiliary,
major oncosurgeries, reconstructive surgeries. We also conduct active postgraduate training
accredited by National Board of Examinations,India(DNB). I as a DNB teacher participate in
teaching and guiding postgraduate trainees. My special interest is liver transplantations-- where I conduct anaesthesia as a team leader. I participated in number of international
conferences regarding above subject and observed practice in UK and US regarding the same.


CLINICAL SKILLS












Oncosurgical procedures which include total oesophagectomy, total colectomy,
anteroposterior resection, hepatectomy, pancreas surgery, thyroid surgery, surgery for
phaeochromocytoma etc.
Paediatric surgery including surgery on neonates
Plastic surgery which includes different faciomaxillary reconstructive surgery in case of
congenital deformities, release of total trismus , microvascular surgery etc
Neurosurgical procedures which include trans-sphenoidal excision of pituitary tumour,
excision of cerebello-pontine angle tumour and posterior fossa tumours, surgery for
cerebral aneurysms , meningiomas & various craniofacial surgeries apart from cerebral
decompressive surgeries.
Cardiac surgery which includes both on pump & off pump Coronary Artery Bypass
Surgeries, different Valvular Surgery, correction of Tetralogy of Fallots, correction of
Transposition of Great Vessels etc.
Thoracic surgeries like lobectomy, pneumonectomy, Bronchial sleeve resection, excision
of emphysematous bullae, thymectomy , mediastinal tumours etc
Urology - different open & endoscopic procedures like percutaneous
nephrolithotomy,URS, transurethral resection of prostate , laser prostatectomy &
laparoscopic urosurgeries.
Organ Transplantion surgery including both living related and cadaveric kidney
transplant and liver transplant ( conducted 26 liver transplant so far)
Orthopaedic surgeries: all orthopaedic surgery including joint replacement, Obstetrics &
Gynaecological Surgeries, E.N.T and Ophthalmological procedures etc.
Cardiac Catheterization Labolatory for different Diagnostic procedures & interventional
procedures like PDA coil closures, pulmonary artery stenting, balloon mitral valvotomy,
balloon pulmonary valvotomy etc.
We conduct different diagnostic procedures in paediatric patients under GA like MRI, CT
scan, Radiotherapy, ESWL, BERA and ERG in outside the operation theatre.
DSA lab: We also conduct cases of AV malformations & cerebral aneurysm for coiling ,
TIPS (Transcutaneous Intrahepatic Porto-Systemic Shunt) under GA .
