Make a Difference
Community Service
Community service is doing volunteer work that benefits the
members of the community at large. This does not include doing
individual actions, such as, babysitting for your aunt, helping our
uncle stock the shelves in his mini-mart, or mowing the elderly
man’s lawn across the street. They involve community sponsored
activities, not private volunteer action.
Places to consider:
Livingston Medical Clinic
Grace Nursing Home
City Hall
Police/Fire/Recreation Departments
Library
Churches-fundraisers, babysitting, teaching
Local schools and teachers
Blood Drive (over 17)
Gallo Picnic
Organizations at school
Gift and food drives
Political activity
