Freshman Grade Community Service Project Assignment
School Year 2012-13 Deadlines



Summer Term Community Service projects are due August 27, 2012.
Fall Term Community Service projects are due December 3, 2012.
Spring Term Community Service projects are due May 6, 2013.
School Year 2013-14 Deadlines



Summer Term Community Service projects are due August 26, 2013.
Fall Term Community Service projects are due December 6, 2013.
Spring Term Community Service projects are due May 5, 2014.
The 9th grade community service project will constitute the following elements:
a. Completion of 20 hours of community service. Students will be
deducted 10 points from the final project grade for each day the student
is late with completing the project (35points).
b. Log sheet and evaluation forms (15 points).
c. Tri-board photo journal containing a minimum of 10 photos and a one
page summary about the organization and its purpose (25 points).
d. A five minute in class presentation (25 points).
The project grade total will account for 5% of the second nine weeks Civics grade.
NOTE: Community Service is a required component of the Liberal Arts College
Preparatory curriculum. If a student fails to complete any portion of the project,
then they will receive a 30% penalty for their entire 9 weeks grade.
