主题词的指定是建立在文章内容基础上，并帮助读者获得相关性较大的结果. 在CINHAL和MEDLINE数
据库中都应用到医学主题词表MeSH.是权威的生物医学标引的依据, MeSH汇集约18,000多个医学主题
词,具有严格的组配原则.
点击顶部 MeSH 链接, 然后输入检索词, 如在检索框中输入 catheter infections , 点击 Search.
显示一个相关的列表显示 , 默认按相关性排序. 你的检索词也会显示在列表的底部, 可将其作为关键字进行
检索.
在主题词表的右侧是主要概念/Major Concept的选项 , 当选择了此项, 将在结果中限制选中的主题词
作为主要概念. 点击 scope 选项可以查看该主题词的范围注释.
当点击主题词时可查看其树状视图, 或主题词的分级排列, 点击 Back to Term List 可返回到该主题词.
勾选该主题词以查看副标题, 可以进一步提炼所需主题. 如果不选择其中任一副标题, 默认为全选所有
副标题进行检索. 你可通过右侧 Search Term Builder 窗口检查添加的的主题词.
在此例子中, 我们可选择主标题 Catheter-Related Infections 及其副标题 Complications 或 Drug
Therapy 或 Education.

当你选择好主标题和副标题后, 你的检索式会添加至 Search Term Builder . 点击红色 X 即可移除该主
题. 如要在检索词中加其他的主题词, 点击 Browse Additional Terms, 选择好后点击 Search Database
即开始检索. 接下去的例子中,我们将添加更多的主题词进行检索.
点击 Browse Additional Terms 后我们又回到检索主题词屏幕. 一条注释让你知道已保留先前做过的检
索词, 你现在可以继续设置新的检索词. 接着我们在检索框输入 Urinary Infections .
与 urinary infections 相关的主题词表会显示. 点击主题词即可查看其树状图或通过复选框查看副标题.
从树状图可了解到，在 Urinary Tract Infections 下有 Bacteriuria. 选中该词条的扩展选项 Explode , 检索结
果不但包含 Urinary Tract Infections 还会包含 Bacteriuria. 如果想较全面地检索各类型的 Urinary Tract
Infections 建议勾选 Explode 选项. 如有需要, Major Concept 和副标题也可选上. 在这个例子中我们勾
选上 Explode, 选择用 AND 组合检索, 然后点击 Search Database .
检索结果呈现. 检索式会显示在检索框中. 点击检索框下方的 Search History 可打开检索历史或建立检索
提醒窗口. 在这个新窗口你可以点击Edit 编辑检索式. 也可保存或建立检索提醒.
默认的高级检索平台,右侧上方标题栏可切换检索平台的语言, 平台完整支持简体中文页面.
在页面顶部有实用的标签栏 (MeSH, Publications, & Images) ,你可以直接点击进行单独的出版物检索、主题
检索、图片检索等. 在任何时候当你希望回到该基本检索页面,只需点击检索框下方的Adavanced Search 链接.
你可以通过点击检索框上方的 Choose Databases增加或改变当前正在检索的数据库.
虽然基本检索没有限制条件，你可点击Search Options来增加检索框下方的限制选项. 注意检索模式的特
征，你可选择: Boolean/Phrase 检索, Find all of my search terms, 此项会在检索词中间自动添加 ‘and’,
Find any of my search terms,此项会在检索词中间自动添加 ‘or’, SmartText Searching.
可用SmarText功能（自然語言）使用達 5,000字檢索資料
SmartText Searching 智能文本检索允许你在检索框中输入一大段文字, 甚至输入整个段落或整页内容.
使用缜密的运算法则, SmartText searching 会按相关性返回检索结果. 注意增大的检索框.
例:在检索框输入 “h5n1” 并勾选全文选项后点击 Search.
检索结果呈现如上. 在左侧, 你可使用Refine your results/精确搜索结果下方的限制条件浓缩检索结果. 如限
制你的结果为全文, 有参考, 或用时间滑纽改变你的结果年限区间. 点击 Show More链接可以展开完整的限制
条件选项. 一旦你选择了任一限制条件后点击 Update/更新.
在 Refine your results下方区域, 可以通过文献类型 (如学术期刊或杂志), 出版物等浓缩检索结果. 在每个
限制条件区域选择后一定要点击 Update. 结果才会被刷新.
当使用限制选项精炼检索结果后，你设置的每条限制条件会显示在左列中. 可以点击其中的超链接开始一项
指定检索. 也可点击×图标移除该选项限制，以此更新检索结果.
檢索畫面可直接預覽Abstracts
你可将鼠标盘旋在放大镜图标上便可预览文章的详细记录. 它将显示文章的基本信息, 如果有全文也可直接链
到全文.

如果你按相关性排序，文章会按照与检索词的关联程度标示出相关度. 你也可以按时间进行排序.
Q:免费个人文件夹功能
Add to folder可以为你保存单一的检索结果. 或者你点击屏幕上方 Sign In 登录你的个人文件夹 My
EBSCOhost. 创建一个免费的文件夹以永久保存你的结果.
Page Options 下拉菜单允许你设置结果格式, 开启或关闭图像快速浏览功能/ Image QuickView, 设置每页
显示结果数或页面布局.
你登录个人文件夹后进行检索时, 点击 Alert/Save/Share. 从结果菜单中选择 Add search to folder. 从
这个菜单中你也可以添加所有的结果到文件夹中, 创建一个 E-mail Alert, 复制此次检索的永久链接
(Permalink), 或点击 Bookmark 来添加该文章到你喜爱的共享服务如 Facebook, Twitter等.
Q:如何检索某份全文期刊？
出版物检索
在顶部标签栏点击出版物/ Publications 即可对期刊名称进行检索 . 在浏览框输入期刊名称全部或部分,
选择按主题和说明检索可查找与检索词内容相关的期刊, 按字母顺序检索即按首字母顺序依次查找, 匹配
任意关键字可查找与所有检索词匹配度较高的结果. 可根据需要选择, 然后点击浏览.
出版物检索
例如输入pediatric annals, 选择 按字母顺序检索, 检索结果包含书目记录收录时间, 全文收录时间, 如全文
延迟则会注明延迟时间, 注明全文格式为PDF或HTML. 直接点击刊名可进入该期刊.

便地使用提供了独特的平台，该平台为使用者做演示和课件等提供了超过 20,000 种全色彩,

我们用cancer作为关键字检索相关，在检索框输入该关键字即可点击Search.
