Larvae Collection Kit
This kit is an assortment of tools for larval sampling neatly
organized in a durable bright yellow toolbox. Tools in this kit
are:
dipper with telescoping handle
3 sizes of screened strainer-dippers
white shallow larval tray
sieve set for debris separation and larvae concentration
(2) 250ml sample jars
permanent marker pen (wipes clean with isopropyl
alcohol)
500ml wash bottle
waterproof flashlight
waterproof notepad
large aquatic pipette (50ml)
(3) small aquatic pipettes (3ml)

ABC Trap Kit with CO2
This kit provides the same capabilities as TRAPKIT1 with the added feature of being able to
use dry ice as an integral source of CO2 for attracting mosquitoes or other Dipterans. This
kit includes the American Biophysics CO2LID which is an insulated 2 liter container,
assembled directly to the top of the trap, with a built-in manifold to provide CO2 at a
continuous rate of approximately 500 ml per minute.


Seymour-Johnson AFB NC named as Pilot Unit for package
 Currently compiling all the equipment and doing validation
 Once finalized, info will be sent to the MEFPAK who will
orchestrate purchase AF wide



AF Uniforms and Program Policy (AF/A1SO) supports factory
treatment of ABUs
 Focus on fire retardant ABUs (ABE-FR) initially
 Representatives from Uniform Board at previous AFPMB mtg

Initiative has been pre-empted by other issues in recent months

AF/A1SO participating in congressional mandated joint utility
uniform meetings
 Focus likely on Services' heavy reliance on each other's
RDT&E initiatives and partnerships during standardization
 AF/A1SO planned to discuss permethrin treatment as side bar
