Jeopardy Trivia Game Info
This Jeopardy game was created using PowerPoint. It contains 4 categories with 5 questions per category plus a Final Jeopardy question for a total of 21 questions. The
questions and answers can be easily modified, however, careful attention must be taken to ensure that the links are not removed. The game can be used in class as a way to
reinforce readings, encourage discussion or as a test review. I>clickers can be paired with the game as the answer choices are set up as multiple choice allowing students or
teams to vote on the correct response.
Using a Jeopardy Game In Class
1. Open the PowerPoint Slide Show (PPSX) file, it will automatically open to the Jeopardy board slide.
2. Click on any Q$ to access a question and share with the class.
3. To see the answer, click anywhere on the slide to move to the corresponding answer slide.
4. To go back to the Jeopardy Board, click on the Color Wheel image on the lower right side of the screen. You’ll notice that the previously selected question is now a light
gray color indicating that the question has been used.
5. Continue the process until the game ends.
6. To end the game, click the ESC key on the keyboard.
Editing the Questions and Answers
1. Open the original PowerPoint file (not the Slide Slide version used in class). You’ll see that the main Jeopardy board is located on Slide 1.
2. Make a working copy of the file in case the links are inadvertently deleted. You can do this by clicking on File > Save As > and then renaming the file (i.e., filename_v2)
3. From Normal View locate the question slide you would like to change by using the scroll bar on the left side of the screen.
4. Click on the question slide you would like to edit. Be sure to review the slide link information located in small grey text under the title. Notice in Figure 2, the slide says
$200 Question from H1. This represents the $200 question from the column #1 (for example, “Name that Domain”) as shown in Figure 1. Click in the textbox and modify
the question.
5. Click in the image box to modify the image. Also be sure to include the citation information for the image you use.
6. Locate the answer slide you would like to change by using the scroll bar on the left side of the screen. In Normal View, click on the answer slide you would like to edit.
Be sure to review the slide link information located in small grey text under the title. Notice in Figure 2, this slide says $200 Answer from H1 indicating that this is
corresponding answer slide for the edited question. This represents the $200 answer from the first column (for example, “Name that Domain”).
7. Click in the textbox and modify the answer as needed. Click in the image box to modify the image. Also be sure to include the citation information for the image you use.
8. Continue to make changes as desired.
9. Save the presentation.
10. To create a slide show version of the original to use in class,
