Installation of USB Printer Drivers
for XP

Overview
• SATO produces Windows drivers for all of the printer
range which also incorporate printer installation
routines.
• These are available on the LG CD-ROM or the
Technicians CD-ROM and also from the SATO
websites.
• It is always advisable to use the most recent drivers
available and these can be best downloaded from the
SATO website www.satoworldwide.com. This is
especially important when Windows XP is used.
• Most installations are straightforward and therefore
only USB

1. Find the
USbPrep.exe
located on the
Label Gallery Cd.
2. Double click on it.

1. Select Win200 or newer
2. Press Cleanup
3. Select Prepare

Switch on the printer
Plug it to computer
XP will detects new device but not install it.
Go to the system properties and in Device Manager find the USB Printing
Support (yellow ? on it)
Right click on it and select update drivers

Select install from a list
Click Next
Select: Don’t search, I will choose the driver to install
Click Next

1. Select Have Disk
2. Browse to the location where the drivers are located (e.g. : Label
Gallery CD version 1.6.2 where D is the CD-ROM drive letter)
3. Click ok

1. Select the USB Device Driver (CL412e in this example)
2. Click Next
3. XP will pop up a warning window; Click Continue Anyway.

XP will prompts you with another window.
Click Ok
Browse to the location : Usb2000 look for the file: CTWDMUSB.SYS
Click Open
Click Ok
