land.
모세 너 나를 위해 일하라

저는 말재주 없으며

늘 더듬거리옵니다
I stutter all the time.
저의 형님 아론이라면
Do you know my brother Aaron?
천사같이 노래하고
He can sing like an angel,
전도자같이 말하나
talk like a preacher.
오 주여 나는 못해요
Not me, Lord. I can’t talk so
good.
어찌 저들이 주가 나함께 계셨던
일 알리까?
And another thing... How will
they know that I’ve been here
with you?
주가 나에게 시킨 일 알리까?
How will they know what
you’ve sent me to do?
악한 애굽 사람 절 잡으려 했나
이다

want little Moses’ head?

저희들은 내 말을 듣지 않습니다

네 손에 든 것이 무어냐

지팡이요 그걸 던져라
“It’s just a rod.” “Throw it down,
Moses.”
던지리까 땅 위에
“Do you mean, like, on the
ground?”
내가 던지라고 했도다
“Yes, I said throw it down,
Moses.”
말씀대로 던질 수 없나이다
“Lord, don’t take my rod away
from me.
날 지켜주는 지팡이옵니다
Don’t you know it’s my only
security?
광야에 홀로 사는 사람은
Don’t you know when you live
here all alone,
홀로 몸을 지켜야 안전하오니
오 주여
A man’s gotta have something
he can call his own? Not me,
Lord!”
그걸 던져라 그러나 주여 저는
“Throw it down, Moses.”“But,
Lord, I...”
그걸 던져라 그러나 던져라 모세
“Throw it down, Moses.” “But...”
“Throw it down, Moses!”
모세가 지팡이 던지니
Moses threw the rod on the
ground,
무서운 뱀으로 변했네
And the rod became a hissing
snake!
오 모세 달아나네
Well, Moses started runnin’
잘 달아나네 달아나
Well, maybe you’d run.
오 나는 멀리 가리라
Well, maybe I’d run.
지팡이 피해 달아나네
He was a-runnin’ from a hot
rod!
뱀 무서워 피하네
Runnin’ from a hissing snake!
주가 하신일 무서워서
Runnin’ scared of what God’s
gonna do! Runnin’ scared,
무서워도 말씀 따르리
he’ll get a hold of you!
주님 말씀이 멈추라
And the Lord said, “Stop!
뱀꼬리 들어 올리라
Pick it up Moses, by the tail!”
주여 당신은 모르십니다
“Lord, you have not lived here
very long!
주여 사람의 풍습은
Lord, you’ve got the whole
thing wrong!
옛부터 뱀을 잡는 것이 아니온데
어찌
Don’t you know that you never
pick up A hissing snake by his...”
집어라 모세
“Pick it up, Moses!”
오 주여 뱀이 변하여 뱀이 변하
여 지팡이 되었네
“Oh, God, it’s a rod again!”
이제 알겠느냐 모세
“Do you know what it means,
Moses?
내가 무엇을 말하는지 모세
Do you know what I’m trying to
say, Moses?”
모세의 지팡이 주의 것 되었네
The rod of Moses became the
rod of God.
주의 지팡이로 물과 바위를 치게
되리
With the rod of God, strike the
rock and the water will come.
주의 지팡이 바다물을 가르리
With the rod of God, part the
waters of the sea.
주의 지팡이 바로 왕을 죽이리라
With the rod of God, you can
strike old Pharaoh dead.
주의 지팡이로 네 백성을 구하리
With the rod of God, you can
set the people free.
왜 너는 지금 머뭇거리나
What do you hold in your hand
today?
또 무엇이 두려운가
To what or to whom are you
bound?
너는 주만 의지하라 주 하나님을
Are you willing to give it to
God right now?
지팡이 잡고서 떠나라
애굽에 내려가
Give it up, let it go, throw it
down.
