Patients have the right:
 To considerate and respectful care
 Refuse treatment and be informed of the medical
consequences of their actions
 To privacy concerning his/her own medical care program
 To expect that all communications and records pertaining to
his/her care is treated as confidential

Patients have the right:
 To expect the hospital to assist in locating alternative services
when medically indicated
 To examine and receive an explanation of their hospital bill
regardless of the source of payment
 To know what hospital rules and regulation apply to his/her
conduct as a patient
 To have personal belongings safeguarded and returned to the
patient on discharge

Patients have the right:
 To receive all levels of comprehensive hospital care regardless
of race, religion, sex, ethnic background, social class,
education level or ability to pay
 Patient has a right to be informed of continuing health care
requirements following discharge from the hospital
