Property Owners & Occupants/Tenants are responsible to
ensure;
•
Long grass & weeds do not exceed 8” in height (21 cm)
•
Property is free & clear of waste including litter
•
Inoperable vehicles are not be parked on property unless
inside a garage. Vehicles that operate must have plates
& current sticker
•
Graffiti is removed

Process For Enforcement
• MLEO investigates to determine violation(s)
• If no violation(s) found the file is closed
• If a violation(s) found the MLEO will post or
mail the Order depending on the violation
• The Order lists the violations(s) & explains what
needs to be done to correct the problem & gives
a compliance date for the work to be completed

The MLEO can use various tools to resolve the
violation which may include;
• A Fee For Inspection cost added to the property taxes
• Tickets or Court Action
• Contractor complete the required work, the costs
added to the property taxes

• 1 full-time clerk for admin support
