drugs (Pharmacovigilance).

► Case: a specialist disposal company transports
steel scrap with a shipper to the Netherlands. The
police requires for their control the registration in the
Dutch NIWO list of both, the disposal company and

► Aim: clarifying European law on cross-border
freight haulage.

► Problem: a prohibition order of the local German
government forbids a German company to sell fruit
juice in 5 liter containers.
► Aim: Applicable German law not compatible with

Internal Market; temporary suspension of the
prohibition order and repeal of the German legal
norm.
