PURPOSE
The purpose of this presentation is to
share information about some of the
ways Queen Kaahumanu School is
addressing the needs of its English
Language Learners.
(Please note that this is just a brief
overview of some of the program’s
components.)

VISION…Students who have English as their
second language will be able to function in
the mainstream school population and
become productive members of society.
MISSION…To provide instruction to these
students based on their needs and strengths
so they will demonstrate positive
achievement.

services based upon district/state/federal
guidelines.
OBJECTIVE…To develop the student’s
communicative competence in the English
language to a level which will allow him/her
