Cry Ministry.
Introductory:
• Preaching the gospel is the great
command given by the Master (Matt.
28:18-20). Upon accepting this challenge
we will be able to bring many people to
Christ. “If every member of the church
would be a living missionary, the gospel
would be preached within a short time
in every country, town and language.”
9TCh, 32

The Preparation of the Voluntary
Preacher
• Spiritual Preparation:
It is very important to live what we preach.
The voluntary preacher should look to the Lord in
prayer.
• “Do not dare to preach even one more sermon
unless you know through your personal
experience what Christ means to you.” TM 155

How to Present an Evangelistic
Sermon
Develop a theme (for the
sermon) and study it.
Begin the sermon with
calmness, present the
theme clearly, without
screaming. Stick to the
theme.
4
How to Present an Evangelistic Sermon cont’d.
 Do not read the
sermon as it will tend
to become
monotonous. Do not
repeat the same idea
many times.
 Look at the listeners in
all directions – never
look only to one side.
5
How to Present an Evangelistic
Sermon (cont’d.)
• Use simple words
that express God’s
love. Each word
should be
pronounced clearly,
without haste and
with the proper
intonation, especially
exalting Christ.
6
How to Present an Evangelistic
Sermon
• Use the Bible to present
Bible texts. It is very
important that the
interested persons read
passages from the Bible,
because God’s Word has
the power to transform
lives.
• The time of the sermon
should be between 20 &
30 minutes.
7
How to make calls:
• It is very important to
make a call after each
presented theme.
• Show to the listener that
God wants to save him,
that He has power to do
it, and that he is ready
to save him.
• The calls should
be positive,
personal and
never
improvised.
8
How to make calls:
• It is advisable that
the call be in a
progressive way; for
example: First ask
for hands to be
raised then ask to
stand up and then
come for prayer or
ask for commitment.
• In a call for a
baptismal decision it
is advisable that the
persons go to the
platform … pray
with them and write
the names and
addresses of each
one.
