Background to developments
• March 2007 – publication of The Adult ESOL Strategy for Scotland
• Summer 2007 – start of qualification development process
• Funding for developments provided by Scottish Government, ESF

• Results of work led to the development of three national
qualifications for TESOL practitioners

2. F43W 33 Developing ESOL Tutoring Skills, SCQF 6, 1 credit

A first stage qualification aimed at current or future volunteers and
