OBJECTIVE
EDUCATION
Universitetet i Agder, Kristiansand, Norway (Fall 2010 – Spring 2012)
Master's Programme in Business Administration – Financial Economics
Thesis: Incentives for Debt and the Impact on Economic Stability. The thesis
explores incentives for economic agents to borrow and lend funds and the ability
of changes in credit markets to cause and/or amplify economic fluctuations. It
analyzes two prominent new theories/models which explain how financial
markets affect the real economy and potentially creates asset price bubbles and
subsequent crashes. The thesis then employs the insights from these theories to
explain and discuss the 2007-2008 sub-prime mortgage crisis, the subsequent
global financial crisis and the European public debt problems.
