History and Legal Ground of the Cadastre Works in Our Country
Cadastre activities first started with the “Provisional Law on the
Register and Restriction of Real Property on 5 February 1912”. After
some changes, and revisions on this Provisional Law, a Cadastre Law
no. 3402 was passed on 10 October 1987. Since then, all cadastral
activities have been carried out within the scope of this law.
Beginning from 2005, cadastral services have been made by private
sector under aiming at completion of cadastral maps nationwide.
