What is an EUREKA umbrella?

Umbrellas are thematic networks within the EUREKA framework which focus on a specific technology area or business sector. The main goal of an umbrella is to facilitate the generation of EUREKA projects

 No direct funding

 No ‘automatic’ projects

 You have to work

 Write proposals

 The umbrella network facilitates partnering and finding funding opportunities

Why join EUREKA & E!-SURF ?

 NOT for :

Direct funding of projects

Funding of trips

Conversation group

 BUT for :

Organised networking of active partners in surface engineering

 facilitating the setting-up of projects

 facilitating the finding of active partners

EUREKA is a strong brand, much appreciated by industry and governments/funding agencies because of technology transfer
