Focus: ISO 17024 and Resource Integration
ISO Standard 17024:
Conformity Assessment – General Requirements for Bodies Operating Certification of
Persons

ISO 17024 requires that certification bodies operate independent of other (training)
operations, yet we must provide a list of resources to examination candidates.

The Institute now has a CERTIFICATION BLUEPRINT for each new certification that
guides examination candidates toward selected preparatory resources – such as training,
publications, etc.

The Institute will work with NACE departments that may choose to develop an array of
supporting resources, including:





Training Courses
Workshops/Seminars
Regional Offerings
Publications
Etc.

renewed every 3 years.
 Renewal application process online at
naceinstitute.org (since 2011)
 It’s an easy 3 step process:
1. Certificate holder fills out application online, with work
history.
2. NACE staff reviews the application to ensure all
requirements have been met and verifies work
experience with employer(s).
3. NACE staff provides new wallet card to certificate
holder.
