Transfer Policy
• Students can transfer a maximum of 60
credit hours toward a U of W degree (2/3
of a 3-year degree, ½ of a 4-year degree)
• Either another AUCC university, or a nonAUCC college, high school, PLAR credits
HS Accelerated/Dual Credit
• University courses offered in high schools
by university or high school faculty
• Anthropology, Biology, Calculus,
Chemistry, Conflict Resolution, English,
Geography, Intro to University, Sociology,
Psychology, Women’s and Gender Studies
AP and IB credit
• Transfer credit or advanced standing for
International Baccalaureate or Advanced
Placement results in high school
• Biology, Chemistry, Economics, English,
French, Geography, German, History,
Mathematics, Philosophy, Physics,
Politics, Psychology, Theory of Knowledge
Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition
• Challenge for credit
• Demonstration of learning outcomes from
a given course achieved through nontraditional means
