VisionSpace has developed this product for the Ground Systems of the European Space Agency (ESA)
to build the necessary simulation infrastructure of Spacecrafts real environment and to test it.
It is an Eclipse RCP software (also available in EGOS User Desktop Framework) to automatically
generate Test Data based on Test Scripts (TS) inputs, run the TS in an easy configurable cluster grid
and present the results in a report.

Green Computing
The intensive use of computing resources in the aerospace sector plays an important role to the
planning, implementation and maintenance of space missions. This project aims to optimize energy
consumption via software for software components for this sector. Knowing that nearly 90% of energy
consumption in a computer system happens because of software execution, and that an entity such as
the ESA consumes as much energy as a small town, is of great importance to start efforts in order to
reduce this energy consumption.
There is also the possibility for the medium term to extend this product to other industries that have
similar problems, such as large "data centers" in Portugal and European as well, where energy
consumption made ​by the software and databases represents a major expense.
