Goal & 2013 Strategies
• Goal:
– Enable consistent contractual flow down of 9100 standards from
Defense Agencies
– Collaborate with Defense Agencies to assure their quality standards are
harmonized with the 9100 series of standards
• Long-Term Strategy:
1. Actively participate with NATO during the creation of New AQAP
Quality Standards
2. Maintain strong collaboration with Japanese Ministry of Defense
3. Work with the Defense Stakeholders and the IAQG 9100 Writing Team
to broker a valued and well supported new standard
4. Address DCMA’s perceptions that the IAQG certification scheme is
ineffective in assuring product quality
5. Appoint new Leader of the Defense Team

• Tim Lee and Dale Gordon (honorary members of the Defense Team)
attended the AIA-QAC meeting held in Washington DC on 24-Sep2013
• Tim and Dale presented the OPMT and ICOP Scheme to the
attendees including Mike Shields of Defense Contract Management
Agency (DCMA)
• Significant progress was made to improve Mr. Shields
perception of the IAQG’s certification scheme
• Mr. Shields has shown an interest in participating in the RMC
