Society of Engineering Management (ASEM)
• This program is 1 of 5 certified nationally - out of 200 EM programs
• Graduates from this MEM program are eligible for Engineering
Manager Professional Certification
• You can receive the Associate Engineering Manager (AEM) certification
and title after graduation
• Those with 3 years experience can take the exam and receive the

Suitability for Working Professionals
• Classes on Friday nights (6 PM to 9:20 PM) and on
Saturday mornings (9:00 AM to 12:20 PM) with free and
plentiful parking (1450 Energy Park Drive, St. Paul)
• Classes every other week starting in January 2015
• Typically 6 meetings per course
• Professionally qualified Faculty both from SCSU,
Metropolitan State University and Industry
• Workplace based homework in the form of projects
• Project Management, Quality Engineering, etc.

Application Process
• Fill in the on-line application form and send it to the SCSU
School of Graduate Studies and mail a check or pay the
application fee using a credit card ($40)
• Attach official undergraduate transcripts and statement of
purpose
• Three letters of recommendation (can be filled and submitted
online by referees)
• Official scores on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) if
available – waived for this cohort if undergraduate GPA was 3.0
or better
• Seats are limited and are on a ‘first come, first serve’.
Deadline is usually as soon as seats are filled up.
