What is AP?
• Advanced Placement

It is the first one of its kind in Mississippi.
• 4 year program at high school level with college as the main
goal.
• Students begin AVID in the 9th Grade

• This class helps with all aspects of students’ readiness and
getting accepted to 4-year universities.

• By passing the AP exam

– Scores range from 1-5 with 5 being the highest.
