SAS´environmental goals
The environmental goal up to 2015 will lay the basis for
ensuring that SAS operations will be sustainable in the
long-term.

 reduce total ground-related energy consumption by 15% in 2015 compared with
2010.
 reduce ground-vehicle consumption of fossil fuels by 10% at SAS’s major airports

 We mount winglets when financial and environmental effects
are beneficial.
 Approx. 1-5 percent improved fuel efficiency depending on
stage length.
 We exchange to lighter seats.
 Approx. 250 kilo weight reduction compared to same
number of older seats in an B737-800.
 We replace older versions of our B737NG engines
(CFM56) with the latest version.
We continuously work with our
own processes
