Jan Raaijmakers (1952) is het nieuwe boegbeeld voor de topsector Life
Sciences en Health. Minister Kamp van Economische Zaken benoemt
Raaijmakers. De hoogleraar farmaceutische Wetenschappen en voormalig vicepresident Europe van GlaxoSmithKline start per 5 maart 2015 met zijn nieuwe
functie.
Met ervaring binnen zowel de wetenschap als in het bedrijfsleven, en zijn
aandacht voor publiek private samenwerking, is Raaijmakers de aangewezen
persoon om innovatie binnen Life Sciences en Health een extra impuls te geven.
De hoogleraar heeft door zijn diverse loopbaan de kwaliteiten in huis om de
samenwerking tussen de verschillende partijen in de topsector verder te
versterken. Hij volgt Rob van Leen op, die de afgelopen drie jaar boegbeeld was.
