MBA Programs
 Typically all good business schools require minimum 2-3 years of
quality work experience for an MBA degree.

 MiM is a new European concept to target freshers.
 The course is specifically designed for freshers.
 Almost all top European B Schools have a MiM program.
 Course duration varies from 1-2 years depending on the school.
 Typical fee for MiM – varies from 15,000 Euro to 30,000 Euros.
 Average packages as claimed by schools are around 50,000-
70,000 Euros.
 Usually suited for middle level management jobs.
 Is very new to the market and will take some time to establish.

 Completed online application
 A valid GMAT score.

The GMAT
 GMAT stand for Graduate Management Admission Test. It is organized




by GMAC.
It is held on all weekdays throughout the year but the seats for
examination are limited.
It is accepted by more than 2000 schools around the world including
the ivy league schools such as Harvard,Wharton, Stanford etc.
Till 5th June the GMAT will consist of 2 sections covering Quantitative
ability and Verbal ability. After 5th June a new section called the
integrated reasoning section. It will consist of questions on statistics
and data interpretation.
The GMAT score is valid for 5 years and the test fee is 250 US
Dollars.
What does a Business School really
look for in an Applicant?
 Clarity of goals.
 Maturity.
 Good communication skills.
 Involvement in extra curricular activities.
 Good leadership skills.
 A steady and good academic record.
 A good GMAT score.
 An all round personality.

 The following are the essay question from HBS 2+2 application
for the MBA class of 2016.
1. Tell us about three of your accomplishments. (600 words)
2. Tell us three setbacks you have faced. (600 words)
3. Why do you want an MBA? (400 words)
4. What would you like the MBA Admissions Board to know about
your undergraduate academic experience? (400 words)
My advice
 Have a clear picture of what you want to do and chalk out a




plan for yourself.
Ask yourself do you really need an MBA to achieve your
career goals?
Participate in as many extracurricular activities as possible.
Don’t do it for the sake of collecting certificates, participate
in order to learn.
Maintain a good and steady academic record.
Work on your communication and decision making skills.
