Second Call for research papers / proposals
The Dipartimento di Studi Aziendali, University of Roma TRE and the Dipartimento di Management,
Università Politecnica delle Marche, with the support of the Società Italiana dei Docenti di Ragioneria e
di Economia Aziendale (SIDREA) are pleased to announce their joint event: SIDREA International
Workshop (SIW) on the theme: Critical issues in managing and disclosing Intellectual Capital,
Social and Environmental Value.
The main objective of the SIW is to advise, provide guidance, and debate on research projects
carried out by accounting and business economics researchers working at all levels of academic
positions. Participants of the SIW will have the opportunity to interact with foreign and Italian
faculty members.
The SIW will start on the 6th of June in the morning, with a lecture of professor James Guthrie
(University of Macquarie, Australia) on the topic << Time for an extended reporting?>> and will
continue with Round Table I. In the afternoon, Prof. John Dumay (University of Macquarie,
Australia) will hold a lecture on the topic <<Managing Intellectual Capital, Social and
Environmental value. A critical perspective>> and afterwards Round Table II will take place.
Six papers /proposals will be presented and discussed, three in each round table. Prof. James
Guthrie, Prof. John Dumay and Prof. Stefano Zambon (University of Ferrara) will participate in all
Round Tables and will act as discussant for the papers presented.
It is expected that the SIW will provide a platform for discussion of research proposals, working
papers, methods and methodological issues.
Faculty members, post-doctoral researchers, and Ph.D. students are invited to submit their
working papers and research proposals to be considered for presentation.
Please send your research proposal or working paper (pdf file) to Prof. Paola Demartini
(paola.demartini@uniroma3.it) or Prof. Maria Serena Chiucchi (m.s.chiucchi@univpm.it) and to
Prof. Maria Gabriella Baldarelli, University of Bologna (maria.baldarelli@unibo.it) by May 20, 2014.
SIW attendance is free of charge, however, due to limited seating availability, registration is
required, via e-mail to cristiana.bernardi@uniroma3.it no later than June 3, 2014.
