This conference comes as the presentation of
t h e fi r s t fi n d i n g s o f a c o l l a b o r a t i v e
multidisciplinary research group on Financial
Transaction Taxes. It aims to provide a first
comprehensive analysis of the legal,
economic, business a political impact of the
introduction of this type of taxation through
enhanced cooperation in the European Union
and the feasibility of those instruments to tax
the financial sector throughout the world.
Besides the input statements, there will be a
specific round table and several opportunities
for Q&A on each of the issues raised.
