Maldi-Imaging in Norway, Protein Laboratory, University of Stavanger and University Hospital
Protein Laboratory is founded by Proteinlaboratorium Rong, established at the University of Stavanger (UiS)
with one of the most advanced instruments in the world: Waters Maldi-Synapt IMS High Definition Mass
Spectrometry (HDMS), a high end instrument for biochemical and biomedical research.
Protein Laboratory is now the first and now the only infrastructure for Maldi-Imaging for bio-tissue for
protein and small molecule analysis, and is now working together with Stavanger University Hospital (SUS) as
the first infrastructure of Maldi-Imaging for Biotechnology and Bio-medical Cancer Research.
Protlabfond is established to support the high cost of the instruments, need now NOK 5 millions.
The fond needs cash and can be collected as supports from Probup broker-business and shops: All gifts are
appreciated for the high end instruments and running costs, expected from companies and private persons.
