Conference
•Inclusiveness, social responsibility, equal opportunity
•Drawing upon the resources of ALSA – promoting the
idea of ‘ALSA beyond Conference’
•Using Tri-Law (WA) resources & giving ALSA a profile in
Western Australia
Proposed New Initiatives
•Opening registration at Conference 2012 and providing
incentives for registering early
•Expansion of careers programme: Careers Director
•Social justice aspect added to Education portfolio
Issues to be Addressed
•Splitting accommodation across multiple providers
•High costs of holding a conference in Perth
•High costs of travel to Perth
•Sponsorship arrangements: minors and WA-only
corporates (e.g. Squire Sanders, Jackson McDonald)
