IMPROVEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF NEW EXPRESS
METHODS FOR ASSESSMENT OF THE PHYSISOLOGICAL
STATEMENT OF COTTON PLANTS

• Proposal objectives: Improvement and development of new express
methods for assessment of the physisological statement of cotton plants
necessary for development of new cotton varieties resistant to drought,
salt and wilt.
• Tasks:
• 1. Improvement and development of new express methods for
assessment of the physiological statement of leaf stamina apparatus and
general leaves transpiration on the bases of measurement of
electrictroconductivity.
• 2. Improvement and development of new express methods for
assessment of water and salt consuming ability of root system on the
bases of measurement of electrictroconductivity.
• 3. Improvement and development of new express methods for diagnostics
of plants resistance to the lack of humidity and wilt resistance by using of
fluorescent measuring of the photosynthetic apparatus activity.
• Expected results:
• 1. New express methods for assessment of the physiological statement
of leaf stamina apparatus and general leaves transpiration on the bases
of measurement of electrictroconductivity will be developed.
• 2 New express methods for assessment of water and salt consuming
ability of root system on the bases of measurement of
electrictroconductivity will be developed.
• 3. New express methods for diagnostics of plants resistance to the lack
of humidity and wilt resistance by using of fluorescent measuring of the
photosynthetic apparatus activity will be developed.
• Proposed activities within the framework of the project: Physiologobiochemical characteristics of cotton plants different according of
drought, salt and wilt resistance will be studied by using different
methods for revealing of the most adequate among them and
assessment of the plant resistance to the unfavorable environmental
factors. Testing of the developed methods for diagnostics of cotton lines
and varieties resistance to the drought, salinity and wilt on the early
stages of ontogenesis.
