I can describe characters in a passage or story
by how they look, act, and feel (traits).

• A character is the “who” in the story.
• A character has many traits, roles, and
similarities to other characters based on how
they are described in the story and how they
act in the story.
• A character’s traits, actions, and roles can
change throughout the story.
