The object tells the story

Choose an object/artifact from one of the rooms in the Secret Annex Online which you think is an important object in the story and describe this to your class.

Visit the Secret Annex Online, tour the rooms and choose your object.

What is your object/artifact?

{Keep this to yourself!!}

Describe it. Size, texture, material, weight? Where did you find it? What was it used for? Who did it belong to/who used it? Why was it important for this person? What does it tell you about the person?

Now write a story from the object’s point of view.

{Don’t reveal what the object is!!}

The object can describe where it can be found, who it belonged to etc.

Read your description to the other groups and have them guess which object it is.

If nobody guesses correctly

– show them where it can be found on the Secret

Annex Online site.

If the other groups guess correctly ask them to tell you where the object can be found. {Just to check let them show you!!}

Who are you going to guide round the museum? – your parents, grandparents, other family members or friends.

Write a short introduction to the story and introduce the main characters.
