Directions:
With your partner(s) read one example of an
assignment/learning activity from various
educational settings. Each one demonstrates
several facets of understanding.
Put yourself in the position of the instructor.


In pairs, discuss the three facets and their
implications for student achievement.
Record your ideas on the flip-chart. You may wish
to include the suggestions for improvement of the
learning activity based on the facets of
understanding. (10 minutes)
Give a brief overview of the LA to the class
(2 minutes)
Report your findings to the class (5-7 minutes).
