Focusing on Root Words: Prefix
A prefix is added to the beginning of a word to change its meaning.
Which one of the following prefixes can you correctly use with all four
words: re, dis, or mis? Use your definition sheets to define each
prefix.

place lead take
Based on how the prefix changes the meaning of the root words,
what do you think that the prefix means?
What words can you create with the other two prefixes? Name at
least three for each.
