What is the mission of the SCRC?
 The
Shippensburg Community Resource
Coalition is a collaborative effort to provide
quality social services and youth programs
that are accessible and safe and that
recognize the dignity and worth of each
person. Our goal is to help community
members reach their full potential.
What is the SCRC Committee?
 Initiated
in 2009
 Regular meetings since April 2010
 Includes over 75 people
 Informal monthly coffee meetings
 Monthly board meetings since July 2012
 Operates under the financial umbrella of the
SU Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit
organization.
Where is SCRC located?
 Currently
located at Katie’s Place, the former
Martin’s bakery building on Penn Street.
What are the current goals?
 expand
the network of community members
and stakeholders,
 carry out our strategic plan that was
developed in January 2013,
 obtain financial resources to hire a director,
 continue collaborative efforts to expand
programming.
