What is Liquid Traction?
Liquid Traction is a clear, liquid treatment that increases the coefficient of
friction (COF) and the safety of wet surfaces.
Creates an invisible traction that helps
reduce slip & fall accidents.
Designed to enhance the natural
grip/traction on slippery flooring.
Targeted for use in homes, restaurants,
hotels ,retail stores, office buildings, factories
and industrial facilities.
Works on most natural surfaces.
For use on tile or terrazzo floors, porcelain
bathtubs, showers, garage floors and
pool/spa areas.
Environmentally safe & easy to use.

Function
All natural materials such as concrete, ceramic, granite, terrazzo, quarry tile,
slate, porcelain tile and bathtubs have a natural void. The larger the void, the
more slip-resistant the surface of that material will be because the void creates
a tread for you to walk on.
When ceramic or glazed tile, as well as porcelain, are coated to create a shine
finish, the void is greatly diminished. The coating fills in the natural void up to
70%. When dry, the filled void goes unnoticed. However, when the surface is
wet, the water fills in the remaining 30% creating a slippery floor.
Liquid Traction treats the surface of your floor or fixture by bringing back the
natural void through the treads in the surface material. When a floor or
bathtub is wet, you will remain surefooted!

Product Details
 Increases the coefficient of friction, creating more tread on
wet, damp or slippery surfaces
 Simple application with a sponge mop or handheld sponge
 Once applied, clean the surface regularly (avoid waxing)
 Minimal maintenance/upkeep
 Suggested re-application: 1-year warranty on all applied
surfaces
Industry Standards
The industry standards in place by UL relating to COF
(coefficient of friction), are as follows:
 .35 to .39 -- Unusually
dangerous
 .40 to .49 – Dangerous
 .50 to .60 -- Relatively safe
 .60 and above -- Very safe
(ADA Standard)
 To guard against slip and fall
accidents, OSHA recommends a
static coefficient of friction .5 or
greater
 The American with Disabilities
Act specifies .6 or greater

Slip & Fall Accident FACTS

Slip & fall accidents are ranked second to motor vehicle accidents in annual
injuries & deaths.
Approximately 8-million slip & fall accidents are reported each year with over
500,000 requiring hospitalization, and 19,000 fatalities in North America.
These accidents compile nearly half of all home accidents.
They are the number one cause of accidents in super markets, restaurants,
hotels and other public buildings. According to the National Restaurant
Association, slip & fall accidents are the greatest source of general liability
claims within the restaurant industry.
The vast majority of tile floors, bathtubs and showers using OSHA or other
industry standards prove that most establishments achieve a rating of
“dangerous” or “very dangerous”.
According to an AARP report, slip & fall accidents represent 66% of injuries to
those over 65, and 75% of the accidental deaths to this age group, proving
particularly hard on the elderly.
Falls account for approximately 15% of job site accidents, and between 12-15%
of total worker’s compensation costs.

Slip and Fall Statistics:
•The #1 cause of accidents
in homes, hotels,
restaurants, and public
buildings (70% occur on flat
and level surfaces).
•The #2 leading cause of
injuries throughout the
United States (Auto
accidents are #1).
•The #2 cause for Workers
Compensation & Liability
claims (40% of all claims
paid out).

Use clean, wet sponge mop or handheld sponge and thoroughly wash over treated area to remove any residue. All
residual product must be removed immediately after application. Area is immediately ready for use.
After Treatment Care:
Clean normally with any cleaner.
Do NOT wax. Wax fills-in the enhanced tread created by Liquid Traction.
Suggested Re-Application Timeline/Warranty:
All treated surfaces = 1 year warranty.
Some surfaces may initially require a 2nd application.
Not for use on marble, granite, colored/stamped concrete, acrylic or any like surface.
