Audits
• Height and material of walls and material of roof.
• households owning a motor vehicle or a house with brick walls and concrete roof
are usually excluded.
• Those living in dilapidated housing (where they score 3 or less on CHI) are given
priority.
• Income and asset interview is conducted as a second step for those who qualify in
the CHI.
• Poverty status of clients ascertained by BM during GRT
• Poverty status of 20 % of clients of each field officer verified by Internal audit
department.
• Actively measures poverty status of clients through external and partnered studies
( ABN AMRO 2004, RBS 2008)
• Social ratings by MCRIL - 68% of CASHPOR clients live on less than 1$ a day,
compared to 35% of 20 other MFIs in India (M-CRIL Social Rating, 2005)
