Buy IT stuff in 1st year
No poster or paper = no overseas conference funding*
For any receipts on IT and books  claim by early Feb.
Plan properly! E.g. One conference in USA and one in
Singapore within a year.

• Formed ≤ 3 months after nominating a supervisor
• main supervisor plus 2 OR 3 additional members
• Supervisor ≠ chair of TAC
• Role of TAC:
• Helps monitor your progress
• Meets every sem with you
• Conducts the Qualifying Exam
