Produced by the Riverina Schools Project

Talk to Me
• In our last lesson we talked about how to start a conversation
• Who can remember some of the things we talked about?
• Today we are going to talk about using good manners when
speaking to others.
Good Manners
• It is nice to say please, thankyou, excuse me and sorry
when talking to others
• It shows you care.
• If you do not use these words people might think that
you are rude.
• They may not feel like doing the thing that you asked for.
Good Manners
• When we are asking for something, we should say......
May I have a pencil please?
• If someone does something for you, you should say......
Thank you for helping me.
Good Manners
• When you need to get someone’s attention, you should
say.......
Excuse me Mr/Mrs _______ I need some help.
• When you accidentally bump into someone you should
say......
I’m sorry for bumping into you.
How rude!
