CONTENT & LANGUAGE OBJECTIVES
CONTENT OBJECTIVES:
• Participants will become familiar with Common Core Standards
for Writing and Language
• Participants will identify where writing and language standards
are taught in the Writing Binders and where additional instruction
needs to occur
• Participants will examine features of Opinion Pieces and begin
planning lessons to address this new text type
LANGUAGE
• Through reading, writing, listening and discussion, participants will
analyze the writing binder unit lessons for alignment with the CCSS
and begin planning a Unit of Study for opinion writing.
