SCHOOL
• Zero Garbage School means a
school which shoulders the
responsibility of managing on
their own the waste generated by
it, instead of depending on
municipality
WHAT ARE WE DOING
• Segregation of waste papers from each
classroom
• Composting the garden waste
• Collection of used tetrapak cartons and ewaste from students and neighboring
community
• Sending waste papers, plastic, tetrapacks
and e-waste for recycling

• Saved 3600kg of papers in a year
• Sent 30 kg of tetrapack for recycling
• Set a channel for recycling e-waste and made
it available to the community
• Generated 5 cubic mete of compost
• Won national award for the project zero
garbage school from Quality Council of India
