 Black beard was a pirate that was known for stealing gold and other treasure. Believe it or not his beard stretched almost to his knees! In

1718 his ship “Queen Anne’s Revenge” sunk but luckily he escaped. Now there is a legend that said his ghost is headless. People still think he is evil because of his stealing.

 Anne bonny was the only woman pirate of that time. On the ship there was another woman disguised as a man “Mary Reed”. The only thing that saved them from being hung was the fact that they were pregnant and the judge let them be free.

 Pirates at that time ate a lot of meat. They also ate soup apparently called pirate bone soup. They drank rum which is now called wine and/or beer.
