CONJUNCTIONS
A subordinating conjunction is a word which joins together a

NOTE:TEACH THE FORMATION OF SUBORDINATE CONJUNCTIONS TO THE KID.
The subordinate conjunction has two functions
FUNCTION 1:
It gives a change between the two ideas in the
sentence.
This change will indicate a time, place, or cause
and effect relationship. here are some examples:
We looked on top of the refrigerator, where
jenny will often hide a bag of chocolate chip
cookies.

FUNCTION2:
In this particular function a clause is given more important.
The less importance is given to the clause introduced by the
subordinate conjunction.

the cake, he burned the tip of his nose on a
stubborn flame.

I live in India for the past 10 years. I am not familiar
with most of the places although I have been living
here for long. I live in India because my husband
works here. As I mentioned earlier I am still
unfamiliar with the places here and hence I find it
quite tough to live here even after 10 years. I want
to be familiar with India before I leave for France.
Once I get familiar with the places I would feel
good. I need someone to guide me on how to reach
the important monuments in India.
