What are the benefits?
Easy payments each month, similar to paying for livery or insurance
With two visits included plus vaccines, dentals and worm egg counts, all your
horse needs for a healthy year is under one plan
Special plans have been developed for those that need a little more care
Extra discounts are included in the plan which make it even more attractive
You save money!
What does the essential plan include?
Two visits
Annual vaccination and health checks
Annual dental care
Worm egg counts and tapeworm
Discounts on diagnostics like endoscope/radiographs/ultrasound
External discounts such as school hire and tack shops
Ability to spread payments on larger bills
Extra help for those that need it..
Performance and competition horses need a little bit more investment
A yearly blood sample for a complete health check allows any problems to be
picked up early
Teeth should be checked every 6 months so this is included too
And we know that lameness is a big issue so time for trot ups and flexion tests
every 6 months is a must
It costs a little bit more for all this extra care but the value for money is
unquestionable
Extra help for those that need it..
Laminitic horses and ponies, or those suffering from cushings disease are at
risk all year round
Blood sampling for key parameters linked to increased risk of laminitis should
be undertaken at least once a year and guess what – it’s in the plan
We’ve gone even further for our golden oldies and x-rays of both front feet,
every year, to aid laminitis detection and management is included too
Plus we will keep an eye on those teeth every 6 months
Fantastic package that could ultimately lead to increased longevity and we
are very proud to offer it, above and beyond any other local plan!
What does all this mean for you?
If you would rather not join there is no pressure, the plans will not be right
for everyone and we understand that
If you would like to join in, we have made it really easy – you do need a bank
account that can accept a direct debit mandate
The Essential plan is only £15.95 per month, the Competition plan is £20.00
per month and the Laminitis plan is £25.00 per month
You save around 50% with each plan
We can discuss with you any individual needs such as adapting the worm
counts to fit in with a livery yard, discussing whether you would like a
tapeworm treatment or a blood sample etc. Just ask and we will come up
with something!
How do I join Forth Valley Vets Care
Plan?
Call us at the practice, chase us down at a yard, visit us at our new office,
bump into us in the street, email us, facebook us or even write us a letter!
Basically it’s just an easy two minutes of your time
We need a signature and your bank details
The plan will commence immediately so if you have a vaccine booked we can
complete the application on that day and you start right away
A small registration fee is applied for the first month only no matter how
many years you remain in the plan
Any questions or suggestions then please let us know, we are always looking
for your feedback. This is after all your plan so help us to make it exactly
what you are looking for.
