This could be a barrier to communication if you were engrossed in your emotion for some reasons .in such cases, you tend to have troubles listening to others or understanding the message conveyed to you.
These barriers are those which make the message doubtful for the reader to understand it and they get confuse to interpret the meaning for which the message is sent to them. There are many types of barriers in the communication like the psychological and physical barriers.
Communication barriers are considered as the hurdles in the way of free and smooth communication because this will affect a lot to your receiver. Example if he is in the bad mood and you add some bad information to him, he will act negatively to you and that will be the start of a conflict.
These are some examples of emotional barrier: hostility, anger, fear, restfulness , etc.
