The drugs and the fame got to some of the members of
the band and they ended up leaving
The only original members of the band are Anthony Kiedis
and Flea
The band was the first to create their sound and that is
why some believe they became so big
The Inspiration
• Flea has Jimi Hendrix’s face tattooed on his arm because
•
•
•
•
his music had such a big impact on him.
The four biggest artist that effected the band was: Iggy
Pop, Jimi Hendrix, Van Halen and, Bob Marley.
Anthony writes all of the lyrics himself
He said he draws his lyrics from drugs, sex, relationships
and, friends.
The song “Give it Away” is actually about giving
everything away because the materials in the world are
not important.

Why I love the band
• Their sound is so different from everyone else and they

were the first to create it
The songs hit home for me a lot because I have battled
with a lot of the problems Anthony sings about
My dad after meeting Anthony in a bar in Michigan started
to listening to them and I did as well
I like how they are not sell outs but stay true to who they
are
They are an inspiration to me
I like that they are from Michigan and it makes me proud
to live here
