iceberg image. Take the general components of the id, and challenge

1. Take the role of a psychotherapist. Offer several behaviours/thought
processes which could be explained as a defence of the ego.
Extension – Attempt to work out a complicated behaviour as a combination
of defence mechanisms. For example, take physical abuse as a child and
link this experience to adult behaviour and thought processes.
