eCall – MoI Priority

Bulgaria participates along with 5 other
countries in the extension of HeERO
project – HeERO 2

This project provides the opportunity for the
preparation of:
◦ The 112 Centre to receive and process eCall
calls
◦ Cellular operators to transmit eCall calls
through their networks
eCall in the struggle for traffic safety

Bulgaria has the necessary organizational
and R&D capacity to achieve substantial
results in the course of eCall introduction
◦ Capability for integration with additional
services – GPS ambulance navigation, traffic
intensity information, etc.
◦ Using a Bulgarian eCall device at an optimized
price up to €50
eCall will save lives
The Strategic Goal:
Until 2015 Bulgaria to take one of the
leading positions in Europe in the struggle
to save lives on the roads
